Hi, I'm Corinne!
I am so glad you are here! Dance has been part of my life since I was two years old, and it has shaped who I am in more ways than I could ever count. Through over 18 years of training in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip hop, and pom, dance became my first love, a place where I found confidence, lifelong friendships, and the joy of working toward something meaningful.
For the past 10+ years, I've had the privilege of teaching dancers throughout Northern Virginia while also spending six years teaching preschool. Those experiences taught me that children thrive when they feel safe, encouraged, and truly known. They also shaped the way I believe dance should be taught—with excellence, patience, and genuine care for the whole child.
When I became a mom to two little girls, my dream became my mission. I wanted to create the very best dance experience possible, not only for my own daughters, but for every child who walks through our doors.
My hope was to build a place where children could receive exceptional dance training while still being allowed to have a childhood. A place where age-appropriate music, costumes, and choreography are the standard, where kindness is valued as much as technique, and where every dancer is encouraged to grow with confidence, character, and joy.
Blue Ridge Dance Centre was created from that same mission: to provide a studio where excellence and childhood go hand in hand, and where every child is known, celebrated, and inspired to become the very best version of themselves, both as dancers and as people.
Every child who walks through our doors will be treated with kindness, encouraged with patience, challenged with excellence, and reminded that they are wonderfully created exactly as they are.
Every great story starts somewhere.
Blue Ridge Dance Centre is intentionally beginning as a boutique Saturday program in a beautiful professional dance studio in Herndon. We chose this path because we wanted to build something thoughtfully and not rush into a permanent location before the time was right.
Starting small allows us to focus on what matters most:
As our dance family grows, so will BRDC. We look forward to one day opening a permanent home designed specifically for our dancers, but our mission will always remain the same: creating a place where children are encouraged to be kids, innocence is cherished, and dance is fun again.
